-(G)- Das Stück ist moderner graphischer Schreibweise no-tiert. Es liegt eine Tabulatur vor, entwickelt von der Lautenistin Caroline Delume. Auftragswerk der franz. Lautengesellschaft. „F. Mulsants Tiento kam uns wie eine Täuschung vor, weil das spezifische Timbre der Theorbe verwendet wird. Ihr Werk läßt ein Klanguniversum entstehen, welches über die gewohnten Grenzen des Instrumentes hinausgeht, jedoch ohne das Unmögliche zu forcieren.“ (Les cahiers de la guitare et de la musique, No. 59, 1996) Tiento bedeutet tasten, tappen. Es handelt sich um ein altes musikalisches Formmodell, das im 17. Jh. in Spanien aufkam. Es basiert es auf kontrapunktisch ausge-führten Imitationen und ermöglicht eine perfekte Verbin-dung zwischen strenger Form und Raum für Virtuosität -(E)- The score is presented in modern music writing.
