Franz Schubert - Arpeggione-Sonate a-moll D 821

Mit Schuberts Arpeggione-Sonate kommt wieder einmal eine alteingesessene `Basisausgabe` des Verlags auf den Prüfstand der Revision. Das eigentümliche Soloinstrument hatte dem Werk bei seinem Erscheinen - 1871 in der Erstausgabe wurde das Arpeggione durch Violine (!) und Violoncello ersetzt - bestimmt zusätzliche Aufmerksamkeit verschafft. Franz Beyers eingehende kritische Quellensichtung ging der jetzt zweigeteilten Edition voraus // With Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata, one of the pillars of Breitkopf & Härtel’s catalogue has undergone a full scholarly revision, from `head to toe`, as it were.
