Trompetenkonzert E-Dur

The Hummel Trumpet Concerto is one of the most popular concertos for this instrument. It was composed in 1803 for Anton Waidinger, a trumpet player at the Vienna court who, thanks to his newly developed key trumpet or "trumpet", achieved a virtuosity far superior to that of the natural trumpet usually performed. Our Urtext edition presents the work in the original E major key with E solo parts, for the most common C trumpet. As the Concerto often runs today in E flat major, this edition also offers a piano reduction in E flat major for E flat and B flat trumpet. The various transpositions are for the first time available in a single edition. At the same time, the production equipment is available at Breitkopf - Härtel.
