Collection of 12 pieces for horn and piano for beginners. All the pieces are original of the composer Pascal PROUST. Born in 1959, Pascal Proust studied music at the Conservatoire d'Orléans, before joining the National Conservatory of Music in Paris in 1974.
He obtained 3 first prizes (Specialized Music, Cor in the class of Georges Barboteu and Chamber Music in Maurice Bourgue's class).
In 1985, he won the 3rd Prize at the Toulon International Competition.
He was a member of the Philharmonistes de Châteauroux (with Georges Barboteu), Ensemble Ars Nova (directed by Marius Constant) and then of the Paris Wind Quintet (with Pierre Pierlot oboe, Jacques Castagner flute, André Boutard clarinet and André Rabot bassoon) . With these 3 ensembles, he gave several hundred concerts in Europe, USA, Japan, Polynesia ... and recorded about twenty records and TV shows.
Board member, Pascal Proust was until 2007 professor of horn at the Conservatoire d'Orléans. Since January 1, 2008, he has been professor of chamber music at the CRR in Paris.
Director of a collection dedicated to the horn at Editions Combre, we owe him a method in 2 volumes (J'apprends le cor), studies and pieces for horn and piano, as well as a hundred other pieces for various instruments , chamber music and large ensembles (edited by G. Billaudot, Stravaganza, R. Martin, Notissimo, Fertile Plain and McCoy's Horn Library in the USA).
