Engaged, skinny or tubular, many are the songs of Renaud inscribed in the collective memory. Huge lyricist with poetry as raw as upsetting (Mistral winner, to name only this title), the singer has passed during his career the impressive number of 20 million albums. While he retired for over a year on the side of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the younger generation pays tribute to him finally with an album of covers, expected June 9 on CD.
Entitled La Bande à Renaud, this album was piloted by Dominique Blanc-Francard and Alain Lanty, a close friend of Renaud. He brings together Nolwenn Leroy, Carla Bruni, Nicola Sirkis, Elodie Frégé, Grand Corps Malade, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine, Jean-Louis Aubert, Raphael, Thomas Dutronc, Bénabar, Gaëtan Roussel and Renan Luce. Some of these performers began to tease the album by posting on social networks wearing them in black in white on which we can only notice the red bandana of Renaud (source purepeople.com).
