OpenSax - Volume 1

OpenSax , the title of this collection should appeal to all saxophonists looking to explore new directions while keeping an eye on the current music scene.
Claude Georgel, director of the Vent de Sax collection, took advantage of an opportunity - the 17th congress and the world saxophone festival in July 2015 - to ask 9 composers of very different origins to write happy or poetic pieces.
The idea was to allow the instrumentalists, at the beginning of the 2nd year of Alto Saxophone, to explore a variety of artistic and technical worlds, guided by the sheer joy of playing.
