The fact that the three sonatas called "Halle" were not all composed during Haendel's youth in Halle does not detract from the favor they enjoy. As there is very little information on these sonatas and there are stylistic elements indicating that they could be works of youth, they have been attributed in the past to his youth years in this city. However, it has since been established that at least the sonata in E minor was composed in London. The Urtext edition offers, on the one hand, two copies of the double flute / basso continuation score so that the two musicians, flautist and accompanist, can play from this combined score. On the other hand, the score is accompanied not only by the encrypted bass, but also by a fully realized continuous bass, historically faithful and playable at sight.
