This collection contains 14 madrigals with 5 voices, composed at the beginning of the 17th century. Lacorcia's writing follows the tendencies of the madrigalesque polyphonic genre of his time: worship of varietas, of surprise, resulting in an alternation of slow, tense, expressive, rather vertical and often chromatic passages and more vivid sections, willingly fugitive, diatonic and luminous.
