Franz Schubert's piano work is as much a part of the basic repertoire of any pianist as that of the house of Henle. Our catalog indeed offers almost all of Schubert's piano works. The content of this volume brings together his most commonly performed pieces: the two collections each comprising 4 Impromptus (D 899 and D 935) and the six Musical Moments (D 780). Our edition was published for the first time in 1948, the same year that the Henle house was founded. The one who produced the edition and registered the fingerings is a pianist still very famous today: Walter Gieseking. The following link gives you an idea of Gieseking the interpreter. In addition to the "mother" volume, we also offer numerous isolated editions with an absolutely identical musical text: Impromptus op. 90, N ° 1, N ° 2, N ° 3 and N ° 4, as well as the Musical Moments.
