Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor Opus 37

Ludwig Beethoven composed his five great piano concertos over a period of twenty-five years. When he sold his first two concertos in late 1800, he mentioned that he still had "better" ones, which he kept for himself until his next trip. He was probably thinking of a concert tour with the third concerto, in C minor, which he had just completed. The latter is presented here in the form of a reduction for piano. Based on Beethoven's autograph manuscript, this now familiar quality Urtext edition is for practical use.
