Small treaty of rigorous counterpoint

For those who have practiced classical harmony, the exercise of counterpoint is the traditional complement of musical writing studies. This document presents the rules, examples and exercises for the practice of so-called rigorous counterpoint, that is to say, archaic and modal. The texts, extracted from books 1 to 4 of the musical writing, have been reworked and expanded. Chapters on imitation writing, reversible counterpoint and the practice of the eight-voice double choir complete this volume.
